i grew up adoring jazz, particularly the saxophone. the expressivity of the instrument, the versatility, the human-like-ness of it, are what inspired me to pick it up so many years ago. in fact, there are so many fantastic saxophone players, and solos in particular, that fueled a life long desire to find my own voice on this instrument. though right now, i’m taking a bit of a break to focus on my studies, i still listen to these solos and saxophone players, as motivation to continue to pursue my craft, whatever it may be.
